I'm Rachel, a full time writer, editor, and PhD with years of experience helping authors find their voice, develop their ideas, and actually finish what they started. My coaching sessions are equal parts craft talk and accountability I'll help you untangle what you're trying to say, push your writing further than you thought it could go, and make the process feel less lonely.
Whether you're working on a memoir or a fantasy epic, I bring genuine literary sensibility and a lot of inspiration to every session.
What we can cover in a session:
- Developing your central idea or argument
- Voice, tone, and finding your writerly self on the page
- Structure and narrative arc
- Overcoming blocks and building a sustainable writing practice
- Line-level feedback on a specific passage or draft
This is for you if:
- You're working on a long form project
- You want real feedback, not just cheerleading
- You've been circling an idea and need help making it land
Sessions are 60 minutes via video call. A recording can be provided upon request.

FAQ
What happens in a coaching session?
We'll spend the full hour focused on whatever you need most — developing an idea, working through a structural problem, getting feedback on a draft, or building a writing practice that actually sticks. You'll leave with clarity and next steps.
Do I need to have something written before we meet?
Nope. Some clients come with pages, some come with just an idea. Either way works. If you want line-level feedback on a specific draft, send it to me at least 48 hours before our session.
What kinds of writers do you work with?
I work with writers of all skill levels and backgrounds. It doesn't matter whether you're writing an ebook, a dissertation, your memoir, or a comic book. I have the knowledge to help you hone your writing and reach your goals.
Where will we meet for coaching sessions?
We will meet over video chat - either Google Meet or Zoom, depending on your preference. When you fill out your requirements, you will list a few potential times (including your time zone) that work for you and I will schedule you and set up our virtual meeting from there.
What are some things we could work on during coaching sessions?
We will tailor each coaching session to your own needs and goals! During our session, we can target specific areas of writing such as: discovering your unique writing process; finding your voice and vision as a writer; how to find the motivation and inspiration to write; and much more.
Can I book multiple sessions?
Yes! I am happy to put together a package that includes multiple sessions. Message me for a custom offer.
What's your cancellation policy?
I ask for 24 hours notice to reschedule. Last-minute cancellations may forfeit the session.
