I was born and raised in the United States, but have studied the Japanese language intensively for nearly 7 years, including at the prestigious Waseda University in Tokyo. I have lived and worked in Tokyo for the past 3 years and passed the JLPT(Japanese Language Proficiency Test) N1 by a wide margin. I have experience in translating menus and item descriptions in the food industry, and I studied under professional English editing and writing at West Virginia University.
