FAQ
Wix doesn't have an export button so how are you actually moving my site?
Your content comes across via structured import (blog RSS/XML, page content, media library), and your layout is rebuilt by hand in Elementor to match your Wix design. That manual step is exactly why the result is faster and cleaner than a scraped copy.
I've been indexed on Google for years. Will I lose my rankings?
This is the number one reason people stall, so I front-load it: before I touch anything I export a full URL inventory of your live Wix site. Slugs stay identical wherever possible, and every URL that must change Wix's /post/ and legacy hashbang patterns are the usual offenders gets a permanent 301
Will my website go offline while you work on it?
No. Your Wix site stays fully live and serving customers the entire time while I build on a private staging server you can preview. The only cutover is a DNS switch at the end, which I schedule after lowering your TTLreal-world propagation for a planned switch is typically minutes
My Wix site uses Bookings, a Members Area and Wix Forms. Can those move?
The data can move; the Wix apps themselves cannot, because they only exist inside Wix. I rebuild equivalents on WordPress with established plugins bookings, membership/login areas, multi-step forms, live chat and you usually end up with more control and no per-app fees.
Will my blog posts come over with images, categories, dates and authors?
Yes. Posts, featured images, inline images, categories, publish dates and author attribution all transfer, and images get re-uploaded into your own media library rather than hot-linked back to Wix servers which matters, because hot-linked images break the moment your Wix plan lapses. Basic RSS metho
I'm on Wix Studio (or Editor X, or an old ADI site). Does that change anything?
All three are supported and the process is the same. Wix Studio sites tend to use more advanced responsive breakpoints and CMS collections, so I map your Studio CMS collections to WordPress custom post types rather than flattening them into static pages. Legacy ADI sites are usually the fastest.
I run a Wix store. Do my products, customers and past orders survive?
Products, variants, SKUs, inventory, categories, customer accounts and order history all migrate to WooCommerce using dedicated migration tooling. Two honest caveats: product reviews and multi-currency configurations almost always need manual handling, and payment gateways must be reconnected by you
