Description: Built a microfinance management platform from scratch – it handles user accounts, file uploads, real‑time updates with Socket.IO, and a dashboard for loans. Used React, Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL. Started using Docker to package the whole app (frontend, backend, database). That way it runs the same on my laptop and on a server – no more "it works on my machine" moments. Worked on API security and database performance; managed to cut response times by around 20% just by rewriting a few slow queries and adding indexes. Talked directly with clients to understand what they actually needed, built quick prototypes, and stayed around after launch to fix bugs and add small features.
