I will beta read and developmental edit your fiction book

I KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE TO WRITE A NOVEL!

Even the best laid plans start to run together by the end, right? Been there.

I am happy to help! I am a full-time editor with a BFA in Creative Writing and an MFA in Dramaturgy, and I am a member of ACES as well as CIEP.

This package is best for manuscripts that are complete, but that you plan to write another draft of. It does NOT include line notes within the story doc (please see my "line edit" listing for that.) In my personal practice, I'm going to ask questions meant to clarify your writing, like "What is the protagonist's goal in this exact moment?" and "How can we increase the stakes in this moment so that this dialogue hits harder? Can we set it up a little differently earlier in the story to make sure it lands like you want it to?" Delivery includes a developmental report based on my personal editing rubric.

Please message with specifics before placing an order for word counts above 100k! I love working with authors with the goal of polishing your manuscript into something more commercial, with genre standards in mind. Let's get you published!
