I'm Semilore Elijah, a professional Amazon KDP Book Editor, Book Formatter, and Publishing Assistant with years of hands-on experience helping authors and self-publishers turn their manuscripts into high quality, publication ready books. Since April 2021, I have worked on a wide range of fiction and non-fiction projects, providing comprehensive editing services that include proofreading, grammar correction, sentence restructuring, and overall content refinement to ensure clarity, readability, and engagement. I specialize in taking unstructured or rough drafts and turning them into professionally edited manuscripts with improved clarity, flow, grammar, and readability. I work closely with clients to refine their content while maintaining their original voice and message. Over time, I have handled multiple client projects across fiction and non-fiction genres, including manuscripts that required full restructuring, heavy proofreading, and formatting adjustments. Many of these projects started as incomplete or unpolished drafts and were developed into complete books ready for Amazon KDP publication. My responsibilities typically include Developmental editing, line editing, copy editing and proofreading, formatting for Kindle and paperback, structuring chapters, creating tables of contents, and ensuring files meet Amazon KDP publishing standards. I also assist clients in resolving formatting issues and preparing final files for upload. A key part of my work is guiding authors through the transformation process, from raw idea or draft stage to a properly structured, publication ready manuscript that meets professional publishing standards. I focus on accuracy, consistency, and meeting client requirements while ensuring timely delivery and clear communication throughout each project.
