What is the difference between a beta read and an edit?
A beta read tells you whether the story works: where I was gripped, where I was confused, where I put it down. An edit changes the words on the page. If you want sentence-level work, see my line editing gig or message me.
How long is the reader report?
Two to four pages for a full novel. It is written to be useful rather than polite: what is working first, then the specific things I would change and why.
My novel is longer than 80,000 words. Can you still read it?
Message me the word count before you order and I will send a custom offer. I do take longer books, I just price and schedule them individually.
Do you use AI?
No. Not to read, not to write the report, not for a single sentence of it. Ask me before ordering and I will happily confirm exactly how I work.
