I work as a Procurement Specialist at the Port of Baku, with extensive experience in international procurement, logistics, and trade operations. My role focuses on ensuring strategic sourcing that meets the port’s and its partners’ requirements, evaluating and selecting suppliers, and optimizing purchasing processes. On a daily basis, I am responsible for identifying reliable and competitive suppliers in international markets, conducting price negotiations, and minimizing procurement costs. I also coordinate logistics and transportation, identify potential supply risks, and implement proactive measures to address them on time. My responsibilities include continuously monitoring supplier performance, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and guaranteeing timely and accurate delivery of orders. This directly contributes to the port’s operational continuity and efficiency while optimizing costs. With a degree in Economics and professional procurement certifications, I am equipped to make strategic decisions, manage complex supply chains, and achieve optimal results in international trade operations. I approach procurement not only as a cost management function but also as a strategic driver aligned with long-term organizational goals. My international procurement and logistics experience enables me to communicate effectively with partners across countries, optimize contract terms, and establish long-term reliable relationships. Additionally, risk management and proactive problem-solving in the supply chain enhance operational stability and overall efficiency at the port. My primary objective is to manage Port of Baku’s procurement operations as efficiently as possible, ensuring profitability, operational excellence, and compliance with global trade standards. To achieve this, I develop strategic sourcing plans, conduct market research, and maintain close communication with partners to support sustainable and profitable operations.
