About this gig
I can't wait to help you achieve your musical goals with your song, composition, or concept!
All packages are inclusive of ~1 minute of music. For every additional minute, select an extra verse. For best results, message me for a custom gig.
I've been a composer for over 10 years, creating works for other artists, dancers, film, and my own work. I have experience writing predominately in classical, EDM, electronic, indie, folk, and experimental styles. I also wrote, recorded, and produced 2 EPs from 2020-2021 that show my breadth of voice and compositions which you can find wherever you listen to music.
I write and record from my music studio in Berlin Ableton Live, ProTools, and Finale, and I have Kontakt's software instrument library as well as other boutique plugins for a variety of realistic and electronic-sounding software synths.
I also have been singing professionally for over 20 years, and can play acoustic piano, oboe, flute, and percussion.

FAQ
What do I actually need to know about copyright and royalties (self-published)?
If you're releasing your song yourself on the radio or online via SoundCloud, Spotify, iTunes, Distrokid, etc., or performing it in public, this gig will give you a license to create, publish, and collect all revenue from a sound recording.
What do I actually need to know about copyright and royalties (personal use)?
If you're only using the recording for personal use, you don't need to worry about it!
What does exclusive, non-transferable mean?
Exclusive - I won't use the composition on other projects or give them to anyone else to use. Non-transferable - you cannot sell my portion of the rights to your song.
What if I want to put the song in a music video?
If you want to put your song in a music video, you must ask for a sync license in addition to the sound recording license.
What credits do I need to give?
This should be a part of our initial conversation, but generally you would give me credit in the song's credits/metadata under "songwriter," "composer," and/or "lyricist."
What if I want you to be my ghostwriter?
Ghostwriting is when you don't give a writer credit. It is a lot more expensive because the writer will lose all future income generated by getting their name out there. Price will depend on length/difficulty/your current audience but the starting point is $1000/minute of music.
What if I get picked up by a label and/or publisher?
If you get picked up by a label and/or publisher, that's awesome! If they want to obtain the rights to the song, they will have to negotiate with me for their own master use license.
What are composition royalties and what is ASCAP?
Composition rights are the rights for the intellectual property, or "sheet music" for the song. ASCAP is a performing rights organization (PRO) that will deliver me any royalties from public performances (radio, concerts, etc.). You never need to pay me after the gig.
