About this Gig
As a writer primarily in the horror genre, I know how it feels to have someone read your story and either get grossed out, horrified, or simply not get it. Having a reader well versed in the beats, tropes, and expectations of the genre is key to developing your story to its greatest potential. As a beta reader, it's my mission to give you the kind of feedback you need to amplify your writing.
The kind of feedback you can expect from me will be:
- Honest insight on your overall story.
- Detailed report on your story's structure, pacing, characters, impact, and more.
- Inline comments throughout your document.
- Feedback on potential improvements if needed from the perspective of an experienced writer and avid horror reader
Suggestions and thoughts will be given line-by-line within either a MS Word document or a Google Doc, and you will receive a reader report upon completion. The reader report will detail overall opinions, suggestions, and other specific feedback not detailed in the line comments.

Will you only beta read horror?
I am open to beta reading other genres, but I am most well-versed in horror, thriller, literary, and mystery. Feel free to send me a message and we can discuss if I am the right reader for you.
Do you use AI in your feedback?
No AI is used at any point in my reading or feedback process.
Will you read works written or assisted in AI?
No, I will not.
What if my novel is more than 100,000 words?
We can create a custom gig if your story is longer than my premium offering. Send me a message and we can work out details.
Do you offer editing services?
At this time, I am only offering beta reading services. In the future, I may offer editing services as well.
