Q: What should I prepare for the session?
A: GitHub read-only access or screen share ready, your warehouse type, and top 1-2 pain points (e.g. metrics do not match, dbt DAG unmaintainable, Databricks costs spiking).
Q: Which dbt versions and adapters?
A: dbt Core 1.x. Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Postgres, and most common adapters.
Q: Do you only advise or also fix things live?
A: Both. We often review models, write SQL, and scope fixes on the call.
Q: Do you need write access to our systems?
A: No. Read-only or screen share only.
Q: How is this different from your other consulting gig?
A: This gig is dbt, Databricks, and platform architecture only. My other gig covers general BI, SQL, and dashboards.
