Developmental memoir editing is a deep dive into your story’s structure, voice, flow, and emotional impact. I focus on the big picture, clarity, storytelling, and helping your memoir truly resonate, not just grammar or typos. Proofreading is for surface mistakes.
Will you rewrite my memoir, or help me keep it in my own voice?
My developmental editing goal is to help your voice shine. I offer margin notes and suggestions to strengthen your memoir’s structure and impact, but I never rewrite your personal story. You remain the author. I’m your champion and guide.
Is my memoir confidential? I’m nervous to share my story.
Absolutely, your memoir and life story are 100% private and safe with me. As your editor, I’m here to encourage you and honor your journey, not judge it. Every project is handled with care, empathy, and strict confidentiality.
My book is still in the birthing processes and is just an idea, can you help with that?
Absolutely, I am flexible. If you just have an idea or a few pages of plot and characters, that's fine! I can read it over and provide coaching on how to develop your writing into a book.

Developmental Editing focuses on the heart and blood of the book. Without it, your book flatlines. It's an intensive and thorough edit compared to other edits. It verifies plot holes, inconsistencies, overall structure, pacing, and tone.

Absolutely, I have a $10 1st Chapter Edit plus Consulting Gig\Package available just for you. This will include an edit of the first chapter of your book or short story for $10. This will help you purchase with confidence.
