What file formats do you accept for formatting?
I can work with Word (.docx), Google Docs, or plain text manuscripts. If your manuscript is in another format, just message me before ordering and I'll confirm compatibility.
What file formats will I receive after formatting?
Depending on your package, you'll receive a print-ready PDF for paperback/hardcover, a formatted EPUB and/or MOBI for Kindle/ebook, and an editable source file (Word or InDesign, depending on the project).
Is this formatting compatible with Amazon KDP?
Yes. All paperback, hardcover, and ebook formatting is done to Amazon KDP specifications, including trim size, margins, bleed, and file requirements. I can also format for IngramSpark on request.
Do you edit or proofread my manuscript as well?
This gig covers formatting and typesetting only — layout, typography, page structure, and file preparation. If your manuscript still needs editing or proofreading, I offer that as a separate service, so your book can go from raw draft to fully polished and formatted.
What trim size / book size can you format for?
I can format for all standard KDP trim sizes (5x8, 5.5x8.5, 6x9, and more) as well as custom sizes on request.
Can you design a custom interior (drop caps, chapter dividers, decorative elements)?
Yes, custom interior design elements like drop caps, chapter dividers, and decorative section breaks are available, especially in the Premium package or as an add-on.
How long does book formatting take?
Delivery time depends on your book's length and package — typically 3–7 days. Rush delivery is available as an add-on if you're on a deadline.
My manuscript is longer than the word count listed — what should I do?
No problem, just message me your word count before ordering. I can provide a custom quote or you can add extra words through gig extras.
Do you provide a table of contents and page numbering?
Yes, a clickable table of contents (for ebook) and properly formatted page numbers, headers, and footers (for print) are included in all packages.
