I will setup n8n docker vps server, fix self hosted n8n, migrate npm to docker
About this Gig
n8n 3.0 no longer supports npm or npx installs. If your n8n runs with npm, PM2 or a bare server, it cannot be upgraded until it moves to Docker. I do that move for you without losing workflows, credentials or execution history.
WHAT I SET UP
Docker Compose on your own VPS (DigitalOcean, Hetzner, Linode, AWS)
HTTPS with a reverse proxy and your domain
Your existing encryption key carried over so credentials still work
Optional Postgres instead of SQLite for production
Task runner container (n8nio/runners) for Code nodes
Storage volume mapped to the new ~/.n8n/storage path
Daily backups and a health check
HOW I WORK
1. Back up your current database and key
2. Build the Docker VPS stack beside the old one
3. Restore your data, test webhooks, switch DNS
4. Keep the old server untouched until you confirm all is well
The server and every account stay in your name. I use a temporary user that you remove after delivery.
Tell me your current host, how n8n is installed and your domain.

FAQ
Do I pay for the VPS, or do you?
You do, on your own account, so you own it fully. A small n8n server usually costs a few dollars a month; I recommend a size based on your workflow load.
Will my saved credentials still work after migration?
Yes, if your original encryption key is carried over, which I do as a set step. Without that key, n8n cannot decrypt saved credentials.
Will my server go down during the move?
The new Docker stack is built beside your old server. You only switch over after testing, and the old server stays untouched until you confirm everything works.
