I will write a win back email series to re engage cold and inactive subscribers
About this Gig
30-40% of most email lists is inactive subscribers who haven't opened in 6+ months. Most businesses ignore them or silently delete them. That is a mistake.
A well-written win-back sequence can reactivate 10-20% of cold subscribers which for a list of 10,000 is 1,000 - 2,000 recovered relationships. The rest should be intentionally sunset to protect deliverability.
I write strategic win-back campaigns that balance persuasion, urgency, and brand dignity to bring cold subscribers back to life.
Your sequence can include:
- Pattern-interrupt opener
- Whats new update email
- Value-first email
- Personal reconnect message
- Exclusive return offer
- Final last-chance email
You will also receive:
- Subject lines & preview text
- Sunset email for inactive users
- Segmentation recommendations
- Automated flow guidance for your ESP
Whether you use Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or Shopify email flows, I will help you reconnect with subscribers who were once interested in your brand. Let me write the sequence that brings them back. Contact me now!

FAQ
What is a sunset email and why does it work?
A sunset email tells cold subscribers that you are about to remove them from your list giving them one last chance to click and stay. This often generates the highest engagement in the entire sequence. People do not want to lose access to something, even if they have been ignoring it.
Should I offer a discount in the win-back sequence?
Yes — but strategically. I recommend saving the offer for Email 5, not Email 1. Cold subscribers who return just for a discount often leave again. The earlier emails are designed to rebuild genuine interest before the offer appears.
How cold is too cold to bother with a win-back?
For most ESPs, subscribers inactive for more than 18–24 months are generally not worth contacting , the risk to deliverability outweighs the reward. I help you define the right inactivity window for your audience.
Who should I NOT include in a win-back campaign?
Anyone who has hard bounced, explicitly unsubscribed, or filed a spam complaint. These should never receive a win-back. I include segmentation guidance to identify exactly which cold subscribers are safe to contact.
Can this be set up as a Klaviyo flow rather than a manual campaign?
Yes
