Since the EUs Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) entered its definitive phase, exporters of steel, aluminium, cement, fertiliser, hydrogen and electricity to the EU must provide embedded-emissions data that stands up to verification. Where the data is missing or weak, the EU applies default values and defaults are set high.

What is CBAM and does it apply to me?
CBAM is the EU’s carbon border tax. It applies if you export steel, aluminium, cement, fertiliser, hydrogen or electricity into the EU. If you’re not sure your product is in scope, message me. I’ll check the CN code for you before you order
Do you submit the report to the EU for me?
The formal declaration to the EU registry is made by the EU-side importer (the declarant). What I do is prepare your emissions data correctly and structure it so it’s ready to share including for O3CI upload, so your importer has exactly what they need.
What information do you need from me?
Your product and production route, fuel and electricity use, production volume, and any supplier declarations for bought-in materials. I’ll send a simple checklist after you order. If data is missing, I’ll tell you what a verifier would expect
