What to do if our songs are not mastered?
I recommend mastering your songs before creating the DDP file to ensure the best quality. I offer a mastering service as a separate gig. Feel free to check out my Mastering gig or contact me for more details!
What do I need to provide for the DDP file creation?
You’ll need to send me your WAV files (44.1 khz / 16 bit) for each track, in the order you want them to appear on the album. If you have specific ISRC codes or CD Text data, please include them as well. If not, I can generate them for you.
What is a DDP file?
A DDP (Disc Description Protocol) file is the industry standard for preparing audio files for CD replication. It includes all the necessary track data, metadata (such as ISRC codes and CD Text), and file formatting for the pressing plant
Do you provide ISRC codes and CD Text?
I do not generate ISRC codes, so you’ll need to provide them. I can embed your ISRC codes and CD Text into the DDP file. Please make sure to send these along with your tracks for a complete and accurate DDP file.
Can you create a DDP file from other file formats, like MP3?
For the best quality and accuracy, I recommend sending WAV files. Other formats may not provide the necessary audio quality for professional duplication.
