About me
Bilingual (English/Spanish) genealogy researcher specializing in the records most researchers can't access or can't read: Spanish parish and diocesan archives, Cuban family lines, and US records. I work extensively in the Basque Country archives (Gipuzkoa, Álava, Bizkaia), FamilySearch, Ancestry, and MyHeritage — including handwritten Spanish sacramental records from the 1500s–1900s. Every claim is cited to a record, and every conclusion is graded — proven, probable, or hypothesis. No copied trees, no guesses presented as fact.... Read more

Aug 2018 - Present • 8 yrs 3 mos

Independent researcher and translator specializing in Spanish, Cuban, and U.S. family history. I research parish, civil, and notarial records — including handwritten Spanish from the 1500s to the 1900s — in the archives of the Basque Country (Gipuzkoa, Álava, Bizkaia), Spanish and Cuban record collections, and U.S. sources, and I maintain a documented family tree of some 17,800 people built record by record. Every conclusion I deliver is cited to its source and graded proven, probable, or hypothesis. I also translate Spanish documents into English — certificates, immigration and citizenship papers, letters — with a signed certificate of accuracy, and transcribe old handwritten Spanish records. Documented research activity since August 2018.
