Over the years, he has participated in many recording sessions with various artists and has toured extensively. He plays in different projects, one of which (Che Apalache) was nominated for Best Folk Album of the Year at the 2020 Grammy Awards, after they worked with Béla Fleck as a producer.

This is my second review for Franco, the first for his mandolin part on the same song. After that, I knew he got what I wanted and was going to nail this on banjo. He did it on his first go, no revisions needed. What an excellent musician! He made my song sound so much better.
