Since July 2012, I have been a full time Videographer, Director, video editor, colorist, VFX artist and Social media manager, founding and leading Ethiomagic Pictures—an independent production company based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Specializing in high-end post-production for music videos, films, commercials, and YouTube content, I have completed hundreds of projects for Ethiopian artists, brands, and international clients. Key achievements and expertise include: Edited and delivered over 200+ music videos and visualizers, many featuring popular Ethiopian artists (e.g., collaborations seen on platforms like YouTube and Instagram with views in the thousands to millions range). Mastered cinematic looks through advanced color grading (using DaVinci Resolve), green screen compositing, motion graphics, and seamless VFX in Adobe After Effects—transforming raw footage into broadcast-ready, high-impact visuals. Directed/edited behind-the-scenes, trailers, and full productions, including Ethiopian movie trailers (e.g., Lela Mafia 2017) and music video releases that gained traction on local media like Fana TV. Built a strong portfolio showcased on my YouTube channel (Frezer Atkilt) and Ethiomagic Pictures, focusing on creative storytelling, precise editing techniques (jump cuts, B-roll integration, sound design), and premium finishes that help clients stand out digitally.
