As a freelance beta reader and manuscript reviewer, I help authors evaluate their books from a genuine reader’s perspective before publication. I read manuscripts closely and provide thoughtful, honest, and actionable feedback on the elements that influence the overall reading experience. My reviews focus on plot and story structure, pacing, character development, dialogue, consistency, emotional impact, suspense, tension, world-building, and reader engagement. For mystery and thriller manuscripts, I pay particular attention to clues, reveals, twists, tension-building, story logic, and whether the payoff feels satisfying. I also identify confusing sections, slow points, weak transitions, unanswered questions, and moments where readers may lose interest. My goal is not to rewrite an author's voice, but to help them understand how their manuscript may be experienced by a target reader and where revisions could make the story stronger. I work with fiction and selected nonfiction projects, with particular interest in cozy mystery, thriller, romance, fantasy, horror, and character-driven stories.
