I will verify your china supplier with official records research
About this Gig
They say they're a factory. Are they?
You're about to wire a deposit to a company you found online. Most buyers proceed and hope.
I'm based in the Greater Bay Area, about an hour from most of the factories you're being pitched by. I look into the licensed entity behind the sales pitch and write up what's there in English your team can use.
What I look for:
- Whether the licensed company manufactures or just resells
- Whether the entity name matches your contract and invoice
- Whether certificates are current, and actually theirs
- Penalties, judgments, abnormal-operations flags
- Customs export registration
You'll get a written report with sources linked when possible, a red-flag section, an honest note on anything I couldn't establish, and questions to send the supplier before you pay.
What this isn't: a certification or compliance audit, and no site visit at these tiers. This is the screening step that tells you whether a supplier is worth a deeper spend, or worth walking away from.
Message me the supplier name and link and I'll confirm I can find them.
FAQ
What's the difference between Entity Check and Full Verification?
Entity Check answers one question: is this a real, active company, and a manufacturer or a middleman? One page. Full Verification adds certificate checks, penalty and litigation records, export registration, a red-flag section, and questions to send the supplier.
What do you need from me?
The supplier name as it appears on their profile or invoice, plus a link to their store or website. If you've seen a Chinese company name anywhere — a contract, packing list, WeChat profile — send that too. It's often the fastest route to the licensed entity.
Can you check more than one supplier?
Yes — the Premium package covers three with a comparison and a ranked recommendation. You can also add extra suppliers to any package as a gig extra.
What if you can't find anything on them?
That's a result, and I'll report it plainly. If no licensed entity can be located under any name you've been given, that's usually the most useful thing you'll learn. I won't present a gap in the record as evidence of wrongdoing, or pad a thin record.
Do you visit the factory?
Not in these packages — this is desk research. I do offer in-person visits across Dongguan, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Foshan as a separate service. Message me if that's what you need and I'll tell you whether the site is in range.
Is this an audit?
No. I'm not an accredited certification or inspection body and I don't issue certificates. This is buyer-side research into public records and the supplier's own claims. If your situation genuinely needs a formal audit, I'll tell you before you order.
