I built Claude AI automation workflows for a business that wanted to move repetitive tasks from manual execution into intelligent, AI-powered processes. The challenge was not simply connecting Claude to an application, but designing workflows where Claude could interpret information, make decisions, interact with connected tools, and return useful outputs consistently. I designed AI workflows around Claude and the Anthropic API, combining prompt engineering, API integrations, structured instructions, and automated workflow logic. I created reusable prompts that gave Claude clear context, defined the expected behavior, and reduced inconsistent responses. I also connected the AI layer with external applications so information could move between Claude and existing business processes. I built a Claude API integration for a business that needed to take structured application input, process it through an LLM, and return a clean response that could be consumed reliably by another application. The core challenge was making the AI layer predictable enough for software systems to work with instead of returning inconsistent conversational text. I designed the Claude integration around structured inputs, clear prompt instructions, and structured JSON responses. I built the API request and response flow so the downstream application could receive predictable fields instead of parsing free-form AI output. I also added basic error handling around API failures and invalid responses and kept the implementation clean enough for another developer to understand, maintain, and extend. Using Claude and API integration patterns, I focused on the parts that matter when connecting an LLM to real software: input validation, prompt structure, structured output, response handling, failure cases, and clear documentation. The result was a practical proof of concept that connected an LLM to an application workflow without treating Claude as a simple chatbot. The AI response became structured application data that could be passed into the next stage of the system.
