Q: Do I need to provide the source code (.cs file)?
A: Yes. To debug and fix the logic or compilation errors, I need the editable .cs file. I cannot fix "locked" or exported .zip files that do not include the source code. And it can't be a .dll file as that has the code hidden. I wont be able to unscramble.
Q: Can you fix indicators that use third-party DLLs?
A: It depends. If the error is within the NinjaScript logic calling the DLL, I can likely fix it. However, if the bug is inside a closed-source DLL itself, I won't be able to modify that file. Please message me first to check.
Q: Will the fix work on the latest version of NinjaTrader 8?
A: Absolutely. I stay updated with the latest NT8 releases to ensure all code follows the current NinjaScript syntax and best practices.
Q: What if you can’t find or fix the bug?
A: If the issue is technically impossible to solve within the constraints of NinjaTrader or if I cannot identify the cause, I will let you know immediately and you won't be charged.
Q: Do you offer a discount for multiple small fixes?
A: Yes! If you have 3 or 4 minor "nuisance" bugs (like a simple color change or a single broken alert), I can usually group those into one order. Send me the details for a custom quote.
Q: How will I receive the fixed indicator?
A: I will send you the corrected .cs file along with brief instructions on how to import/compile it in your NinjaTrader 8 terminal.
Q: What if the indicator still doesn't look right on my chart?
A: I offer revisions to ensure the fix works exactly as discussed. If the logic is correct but your chart settings are different, I’ll help you configure them to match.
Q: Can you also add a new feature while fixing the bug?
A: This Gig is primarily for debugging. However, if it’s a small addition, I can include it for a small extra fee. For major new features, please check my other Gigs or request a custom offer.
