About this gig
DJ's know how time consuming it can be to prepare your songs for live use with Serato DJ Pro, Virtual DJ, & Rekordbox. Although cue points, songs with proper beat grids, and loops can help you be a better DJ, finding the time to do this can be difficult. I will take on this mundane task for you so that you can spend more time mixing and perfecting your craft. I have been a professional DJ for over 10 years and have used both Serato and Rekordbox since their inception. Please read myFAQ and message me if you have any questions.
Deciding which package is best for you:
- With the $10 Library Essentials package, I will ID3 tag the song so all the songs information is in the proper fields when you put them into Serato.
- With the $20 Mixing Essentials package, I will do the ID3 tagging and will set cue points for the important parts of the song.
- With the $30 Mixing Essentials Premium, I will do ID3 tagging, set cue points, set the beat grid properly and set 1 saved loop for easy access when mixing.

I've been doing graphic work for a little over 4 years. I went to school for audio production and have been a DJ both in clubs/lounges as well as private events (weddings, corporate events, etc.) for the past 15 years.
FAQ
Why should I get my songs ID3 tagged?
You know when you download a file that looks like this: "1-_total_eclipse_of_the_heart(mymp3.net)"? Of course you do. This can be particularly annoying when you're searching for old songs and can't find it because it's named improperly. I will fix the artist/track title/genre and rename the files
What is a cue point and why should I care about it?
Cue points are an essential part of mixing. This feature allows you to set points in the song for you to quickly jump to when playing live without missing a beat. I will set the important parts of the song for you and label them accordingly. See my pictures for examples.
What's a Beat Grid and why is it important?
The beat grid is how Serato reads the timing of the song being played. The software tries to set the beat grid automatically based on its analysis of the song but sadly almost always miscalculates. This effects sync, auto-loop and the FX's since all of these rely on the beatgrid and BPM
How will I deliver the songs to you?
You will upload a compressed file (zip or rar) with your songs and a text file that includes the track names along with the artist to dropbox. You'll send me the download link here via message. Upon completion, I will return the fixed files to you in the same manner.

What is Rekordbox?
Rekordbox is Pioneers response to Serato once their partnership ended. CDJ2000's and any of Pioneer's other products work with this software. Most venues use CDJ's and do not provide Serato hardware so it's good to have your files prepared for both.
If I purchase the Mixing Essentials package, which DJ software is it for?
I will set everything for either Serato or Rekordbox (not both). You must specify which one you use after purchasing the package
