I will analyze and optimize sql server queries and indexes
NET Backend Architect and SQL Server ETL Expert
About this Gig
Slow SQL Server queries can delay applications, reports and nightly data loads. I investigate bottlenecks using execution plans, logical reads and index design.
I bring 20 years of engineering experience across .NET backends, databases and data platforms, including financial services.
Choose your scope:
BASIC: Diagnose one query and its execution plan. Receive written findings and recommendations; no implementation.
STANDARD: Improve one agreed query or stored procedure involving up to 5 existing tables, with tuning scripts and before/after validation.
PREMIUM: Review up to 3 queries across 10 existing tables, with tuning scripts, validation and prioritized recommendations.
Validation requires representative test data and a reproducible baseline. No specific speed increase is guaranteed. One revision covers the agreed deliverable; new queries or changed requirements need a separate scope.
Production deployment, new table creation, data migration and ongoing support are excluded. Please message me before ordering so we can confirm scope and access needs. Share sanitized scripts and plans; do not send passwords or personal customer data.

FAQ
Can you guarantee a specific speed improvement?
No. Results depend on the query, data, indexes, hardware and workload. Where representative test data is available, I compare execution plans and measurements and check output equivalence. A diagnosis may identify constraints that require a larger scope.
Do you need production access or deploy the changes?
Initial review can use sanitized queries, schema, execution plans and measurements. Testing needs representative data in an agreed environment. Production deployment is excluded. Do not send passwords, connection secrets or personal customer data in the requirements.
What does a revision cover, and what is excluded?
One revision covers corrections to the agreed deliverable. Extra queries, changed requirements and further investigation need a separate scope. New table creation, migrations, application development, production deployment and ongoing DBA support are excluded.
