Initially, the QuickBooks Online checking account balance did not match the actual bank balance due to discrepancies dating back to 2019. I cleaned up the bank register by identifying and removing duplicate and erroneous entries, then completed monthly bank reconciliations through the current month. As a result, all reconciliations are up to date, and the QuickBooks balance now matches the actual bank balance.
