FAQ
How long will my app take, and how much will it cost?
It depends on the screens and features. As a guide: one screen or feature from $100 in about a week, a 6-screen MVP from $350 in about two weeks, a full app with Google Play launch from $900. Message me and I'll confirm an exact price and date before you order.
Can you work on my existing app?
Yes. Send me the code first and I'll look before quoting, so the price matches the real work.
Can you connect my app to Bluetooth, ESP32 or IoT devices?
Yes, it's one of my specialities: BLE devices such as smartwatches, locks and sensors, ESP32 boards, and USB serial, MQTT and socket connections. Tell me the device model and I'll check what it supports.
Kotlin or Java? Jetpack Compose or XML layouts?
New apps: Kotlin with Jetpack Compose. Existing apps: I work in whatever your app already uses, Java or Kotlin, XML or Compose, and can move screens to Compose gradually if you want.
Can you publish my app on Google Play?
Yes, in Premium or as an extra. You need your own developer account. Google makes personal accounts created after Nov 13, 2023 run a closed test with 12 testers for 14 days first. Organisation accounts are exempt.
Can I test the app and follow progress?
Yes. I test on devices and emulators across Android versions, and send you test builds in Fiverr messages as features are ready, so you can try the app yourself. If you use Trello or Jira, I'm happy to work in it.
How do you write and hand over the code?
Clean MVVM architecture, Git version control, and short documentation so another developer could pick it up. You get the full source code with every package, and you own it.
What if I change my mind during the project?
Small changes are part of the work. If the scope grows, I'll tell you before doing it and we agree the price together.
Can you build the same app for iPhone?
Yes. Message me for a quote. An iPhone version is a separate build, so a flat add-on price wouldn't be fair either way. See also my iOS and cross-platform gigs.
What does the 1 month of free support include?
For 30 days after delivery, I fix any bug or problem in the work I delivered, free, with every package. New features or design changes are new work: I'll quote them first, and you decide.
