I'm a complete beginner. Can I still take your lesson?
All levels are welcome! Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to refine your skills, I am here to guide you step by step. We will start with the fundamentals—Pinyin, tones, and basic conversation—at a pace that works for you.
What is the duration of each lesson?
The trial lesson will be 30 minutes long, and the standard lessons are 50 minutes - just the right amount of time to stay focused and also answer your questions. I will offer extra minutes if needed, so don't feel rush at the end of class.
Can I reschedule or cancel a class if emergency happen?
I understand that life happens and plans can change! If you need to reschedule or cancel, please let me know at least 2 hours in advance. While last-minute changes (within 2 hours) may not be refundable, I am very flexible and happy to offer a one-time exception if something comes up.
Can I choose the date and time?
Yes! I offer flexible scheduling in Eastern Time (ET).
Do I need to prepare anything for the first class?
Getting started is easy! All you need is a stable internet connection and a curious mind. I’ll take care of the rest—I’ll provide all the materials and walk you through everything step-by-step in our very first class.
What materials will we use in class?
My lessons are fully personalized to match your specific needs. I blend professional textbooks with interactive slides and practical, real-world dialogues that reflect your actual interests. I create custom exercises for every session to ensure you get exactly what you need to succeed.
How are the lessons conducted?
Lessons take place on Zoom / Google Meet / Skype (whichever you feel more comfortable with). Once I confirm your schedule, I'll send you a link that you can use for all your sessions. It's simple and convenient!
Do I need a webcam for the lessons?
Your comfort is my top priority. Whether you prefer to keep your camera on or off is entirely up to you—I’m happy to accommodate your preference.
