FAQ
Will my city approve a shipping container home?
Most US jurisdictions accept container buildings under IBC 3114 and ICC G5. Please check zoning first (setbacks, minimum size, HOA rules). I prepare drawings and calcs that address the code requirements plan reviewers look for.
Is the PE stamp included in the price?
No, package prices do not include a PE stamp. If your city requires stamped drawings, please message me first with your project location for a custom quote.
Do you design stacked or multi-container homes?
Yes. I design single, side-by-side and 2-story stacked homes with roof decks, cut-outs and large openings. Openings are reinforced with steel frames and checked in a 3D structural model.
What foundation do you design for containers?
Concrete piers, strip footings or slab on grade, depending on soil, frost depth and wind/seismic loads. Each corner casting is anchored with embedded plates or anchor bolts, detailed and checked in the calcs.
Can you also create 3D renderings of my container home?
Yes. 3D exterior renderings are included in the Premium package and can be added to other packages. They help you, your lender or HOA visualize the design before building.
