I’m working full-time remotely as a Software Engineer at Monitor My IoT, a UK-based company specializing in home automation (IoT) and complete solar system monitoring & automation. I joined the team after freelancing with them since April 2024, and I’ve been responsible for building and scaling their core product, Monitor My Solar, from the ground up. My role focuses on developing production-grade web and mobile solutions that help customers monitor solar generation, consumption, battery health, and system performance in real time—while enabling smart automation workflows for homes and businesses. Key Contributions & Responsibilities • Built the Monitor My Solar web portal end-to-end, including dashboards, device monitoring, user management, alerts, and automation features. • Developing and maintaining the cross-platform mobile app, ensuring feature parity and smooth UX across devices. • Leading v3 architecture migration, using a modern stack for better scalability, performance, and maintainability. • Implementing secure authentication systems (multi-step login + 2FA), session handling, and subscription-based access control. • Designing and integrating real-time data visualizations for solar powerflow and IoT device telemetry. • Working closely with the UK product team to translate business needs into clean, reliable, user-friendly software. • Writing clean, modular, testable code and improving overall system structure for long-term growth.
