Yes you will need. I only setup deployment for your rails application. You have to purchase full access VPS server of your choice to host your application. For my recommendation - A2 Hosting.
Do I need to purchase Domain name?
If you require domain to your url, the answer is Yes. If not i can setup for you with IP address. In case you need domain, my recommendation is name.com.
