FAQ
Do I need to already have a VPS or server?
No. I can recommend and help you set up an affordable VPS (Hostinger, Vultr, DigitalOcean) if you don't have one yet, or work with a Mac Mini if you'd rather run things locally.
What's the actual difference between OpenClaw and Hermes Agent, which should I use?
OpenClaw is faster to deploy out of the box and great for a first setup. Hermes Agent gives you more control over memory and which model you use, and is generally where people migrate to once they outgrow OpenClaw's defaults.
Will I be locked into paying you for every change afterward?
No. You get full ownership of all configs, code, and credentials. I document everything so you (or any other developer) can maintain it without me.
Is my data and are my API keys safe during setup?
Yes! credentials stay in environment variables on your own server, never hardcoded, never reused or stored by me beyond the project.
Do API/platform costs come out of your price?
No. My fee covers the build and setup. Any ongoing API usage, hosting, or subscription costs (Anthropic, OpenAI, VPS hosting, etc.) are billed to you directly by those providers — I'll advise you on the cheapest setup for your usage before we start.
What if something breaks after you deliver?
Every package includes a support window (3/10/21 days depending on tier). If something breaks because of my setup, I fix it at no extra cost within that window.
Can you fix a setup someone else broke?
Yes! this is one of the most common orders I get. Send me SSH access and your error logs; I diagnose gateway crashes, dependency conflicts, API auth failures, and webhook issues, and hand back a clean, stable, working system.
