I've been designing PCBs professionally for 6 yrs, schematic capture, layout, DRC, and full Gerber package for manufacturing. I work in Altium Designer, KiCad, and Eagle daily. I know what a fab house actually needs. I know what a controlled impedance trace is and when it matters. I know the difference between a board that passes DRC and a board that actually works.
