Provided one-on-one online tutoring to a Year 2 learner in the UK, delivering engaging Maths and English lessons based on the UK Primary Curriculum and appropriate for the learner’s class level and individual learning needs. I planned and adapted lessons to help the learner understand key concepts, strengthen foundational skills and become more confident when approaching schoolwork. For Maths, lessons focused on developing numerical understanding, problem-solving and practical application of concepts. For English, I supported areas such as reading, spelling, vocabulary, comprehension and written communication. To make lessons more engaging and easier to understand, I incorporated age-appropriate teaching aids, visual materials, interactive activities and educational images sourced from reputable and verified online learning resources. I also adjusted my teaching approach according to the learner’s pace, using simple explanations, examples, repetition and guided practice where needed. My approach focused on creating a friendly and supportive online environment where the learner could ask questions, participate actively and learn without feeling pressured. The goal was not only to complete lessons, but to help the learner develop stronger academic foundations, improve understanding and build greater confidence in Maths and English.
