Working as a freelance animator for ZionHealth has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my career, and it all comes down to the leadership of Samuel, the company owner. I had the opportunity to create 20 whiteboard animation videos for his business, and the entire process showed me what a great client-collaborator relationship looks like. From day one, Samuel was clear about his vision. ZionHealth needed a series of whiteboard animations to explain their services, onboard new clients, and simplify complex concepts for their audience. He didn’t just send a brief and disappear. Instead, Samuel provided detailed brand guidelines, target audience insights, and real examples of the tone he wanted. That clarity made my job as an animator much easier. I could focus on storytelling and visual flow instead of guessing what the client wanted. The project scope was significant: 20 unique videos, each 60–90 seconds long. Topics ranged from service explainers to customer success stories and internal training modules. To maintain consistency, I developed a custom whiteboard style guide for ZionHealth - specific line weights, hand styles, color accents, and transitions that matched their brand. Samuel gave feedback quickly and constructively after each draft. He knew exactly what to critique and what to praise, which kept revisions minimal and the project on schedule.
