My Author-Led Beta Reading service puts you in control. Instead of receiving a general critique, you tell me exactly what you want me to focus on while reading your manuscript.

1. What is an Author-Led Beta Read?
The author guides the beta read by submitting specific questions about their manuscript. I read with those questions in mind and provide detailed reader-perspective feedback for each one.
2. What kind of questions can I ask?
You can ask about characters, pacing, plot, dialogue, relationships, emotional impact, confusing moments, specific scenes, reader engagement, or anything else you want a reader's perspective on.
3. What counts as one question?
One question should focus on one main concern. For example, “Does my protagonist feel believable?” is one question. Multiple unrelated questions combined into one may be counted separately. Example: “What do you think about my protagonist, pacing, romance, villain, and ending?” = 5 questions.
4. Do you provide editing or proofreading?
No. This Gig is for beta reading and reader feedback. I may mention noticeable issues that affect my reading experience, but I do not provide line-by-line grammar, spelling, punctuation, or editing services with this Gig. I do have other gigs for this.
5. Will you read my entire manuscript?
I will read up to the word count included in the package you purchase. If your manuscript exceeds that amount, please purchase the appropriate additional word-count option or contact me before ordering.

8. What will I receive when my order is complete?
You'll receive written responses to each of your submitted questions based on my experience as a reader, including what worked, what didn't, what confused me, and why.
