I build testing systems for software projects a real, reusable test suite your project keeps, not a one-off click-through.

Two levels: unit tests for each function or module in isolation, and scenario tests that run your whole app through a real user flow end to end. This second level catches bugs that only show up when pieces interact a race between two things loading at once, an event that re-triggers itself. I have used this method to build a suite of 1,400+ tests and catch several of these before they reached anyone.

Every regression test is checked against the bug it claims to catch: revert the fix, confirm it actually fails, restore the fix. No test ships unproven.
