A byline is a claim. If the piece under your name is thin, people notice, and they remember the wrong thing.

I write opinion pieces and features that go out under your name: the argument you've made in meetings for a year and never written down. I've been published in Fortune, so I know what an editor cuts and why, and I write to that standard whether the piece is going to a trade title or to your own site.

What I do with your idea:

- Find the actual argument, which is usually narrower and sharper than the brief

- Check the claims, and tell you when one won't survive contact with a reader who disagrees

- Source it properly, with links you can stand behind

- Write it in your voice, not in house style

Send me the argument in whatever state it's in. A voice note, a deck, a thread you wrote at midnight. I'll come back with the shape of the piece before I write a word of it, so you're not reading 1500 words of the wrong thing.
