About this Gig
A fresh VPS is a blank, insecure box. I turn it into a production-ready Linux server.
Whether you just bought a VPS or inherited a messy Ubuntu server, I set it up properly: locked-down SSH access, firewall, automatic security updates, web server and SSL built on a battle-tested automation pipeline and personally verified by me before handover.
What I set up:
- Provisioning: users, SSH keys, static IP/hostname (Netplan)
- Firewall (UFW/nftables) + fail2ban brute-force protection
- Automatic security patching & maintenance
- Linux server hardening (SSH, sudo, sysctl baseline)
- Web server: Nginx, Apache or Caddy (auto-HTTPS)
- Reverse proxy + Let's Encrypt SSL with auto-renewal
- Docker, if your app needs it

On a fresh box, nothing to lose. On an existing one, I back up config and confirm with you before any change.
Which web server should I pick?
Tell me your app and I'll recommend — Caddy for simple auto-HTTPS, Nginx for performance/proxying, Apache for legacy PHP.
Can you set up the actual app too (WordPress, etc.)?
Yes, as a custom offer or via my Docker gig.
Can you setup Multiple servers?
