Hi! Im Hannah, a passionate reader who has been actively reading for over 15 years. I love discovering different genres, formats, perspectives and writing styles, and Im comfortable with a wide range of themes and subject matter. I dont shy away from difficult topics, dark stories, unusual ideas or challenging content.
I have a particular soft spot for psychologically troubled characters, morally gray characters, dark academia, characters who desperately need a hug, unexpected plot twists and, of course, queer stories. Give me a complicated character, an emotional mess and a plot twist I didnt see coming, and Im happy.
Please let me know about any content warnings or triggers before I start reading. Other than that, Im very open to whatever you want to throw my way.

What genres do you beta read?
Honestly? I read pretty much anything. Romance, fantasy, thriller, drama, horror, LGBTQ+ fiction, fanfiction, dark fiction, experimental writing... if it has a story to tell, I’m interested. I’m not picky, so feel free to surprise me!
Do you read NSFW or sensitive content?
Absolutely! I’m very comfortable with mature, NSFW, dark or sensitive content. I don’t scare easily and I’m pretty hard to shock, so you don’t need to worry about your story being “too much” for me. Just let me know about any major triggers beforehand, and we’re good!
Do you read fanfiction?
Absolutely! I’ve been reading fanfiction for years across many genres and fandoms. I’m familiar with fanfiction structure, conventions and reader expectations, and can give feedback from the perspective of an experienced fanfiction reader and consumer.
What languages can you beta read in?
I can beta read in English, French and Portuguese.
What kind of feedback will I receive?
Honest, thoughtful and constructive feedback from someone who genuinely loves reading. I joke that I’m addicted to it, so you’ll get the sincere opinion of someone who needs books almost as much as air to breathe!
Will you rewrite or edit my work?
I love reading, but sadly, I’m not able to bring stories into the world myself. What I can do is support authors however I can, helping you bring your ideas and beloved stories to life. I’ll care about them almost as much as you do!
Can you read an unfinished manuscript?
Absolutely! We can talk about it first. Tell me about your ideas, characters or plans, and I can share my thoughts and feedback as you develop your story. I’m happy to be part of the process, even before the manuscript is finished!
What if my story is unusual or experimental?
That’s completely fine! And if you’re writing something completely ordinary, that’s fine too. I read everything. Consider me Charon of the living: give me three books and I’ll ferry your story across. Hahaha!
