Do I need to already have SQL Server or MySQL set up?
No — I can set up the backend for you as part of the project if you don't have one yet.
Will my existing Access forms and reports still work?
Yes. The frontend stays in Access; only the data storage moves to the new backend, so your forms/reports keep working after re-linking.
How much data can this handle compared to plain Access?
SQL Server and MySQL handle far larger datasets and far more concurrent users than an Access-only database, which is limited to around 2GB and struggles past a handful of simultaneous users.
Will this fix my slow database?
In most cases, yes — moving to a proper backend usually resolves performance issues caused by too many users or too much data. If the slowness is caused by something else (bad query design, VBA), I'll flag that separately.
Is my data kept confidential during migration?
Yes. Your data and credentials are used only for your project and handled securely.
