About this Gig
Your photo library is the most personal data you hold.
Immich keeps it on infrastructure you own reachable only through encrypted access, with no third party holding your files or your keys.
Built to production standard, not a default compose file left running and forgotten.
What I deliver:
- Immich on Docker or Portainer Synology, QNAP, Unraid, Proxmox, VPS or bare metal
- PostgreSQL (VectorChord) and Valkey tuned to your hardware, not left on defaults
- Encrypted remote access via WireGuard, Tailscale or Cloudflare Tunnel, no open ports
- Hardening: key-only SSH, host firewall rules, non-root containers
- Scheduled backups with a restore tested before handover
- Migration from Google Photos, iCloud, Synology Photos or an existing Immich instance, with albums, dates and EXIF preserved
- Documentation your team can act on independently
Discretion is standard. NDA on request.
Send your hardware, storage and library size, and you'll get a straight assessment of what it will carry before any order is placed.

FAQ
Will my photos ever leave my own hardware?
No. Immich runs entirely on your server. Nothing is uploaded to a third-party service, and no credentials or keys are held outside your infrastructure. I access your system only during the build, using access you issue and can revoke on delivery.
What hardware do you support?
Synology, QNAP, Unraid, TrueNAS, Proxmox, bare-metal Linux, and any VPS or cloud instance. Minimum practical spec is 4GB RAM and 2 cores; 8GB+ is recommended if you want fast face recognition and smart search on a large library.
How do I access my photos away from home?
Through WireGuard, Tailscale or a Cloudflare Tunnel - no ports opened on your router, no public exposure of the server. If you prefer a public URL, I can configure a reverse proxy with valid TLS and access policies instead.
Can you migrate my Google Photos library?
Yes, in the Premium package. Albums, dates and EXIF are preserved, and motion/live photo pairs are matched where the export provides them. You supply the Google Takeout archive - delivery time starts once it reaches me, as Google's export can take several days on their side.
What other sources can you migrate from?
iCloud, Synology Photos, PhotoPrism, Nextcloud, plain folder structures, and existing Immich instances. Folder hierarchies can be mapped to albums, and original filenames are kept intact.
What access do you need from me?
SSH or Portainer access to the host, and confirmation of available disk space. For NAS deployments, admin access to the DSM/QTS interface. Access can be time-limited, and I'll confirm exactly what's needed before you order.
Are backups included?
From Standard upward. Scheduled database and library backups with a retention policy, and a restore tested before handover so you know it works. Premium adds an off-site or second-device copy.
What happens after delivery - can I update it myself?
Yes. You receive documentation covering updates, restore steps and common issues. Standard and Premium include an update policy configured on the server. A monthly maintenance retainer is available if you'd rather not handle it.
Do you sign an NDA?
Yes, on request, before any access is shared.
Do you access or copy my data out?
No. Your photos stay on your device. All work is performed on your system, over access you issue and revoke. Nothing is copied off, downloaded or retained by me. No accounts, no external sync, no analytics - the library never leaves the hardware you control.
