About this Gig
Hello!!!
Your romance manuscript deserves more than a quick read; it deserves a beta reader who feels every scene. I'm Isla, a dedicated romance beta reader and manuscript feedback specialist for romance, dark romance and romantasy books.
Readers put a book down when pacing drags, chemistry falls flat, or emotional beats miss. A proper beta reading service catches this before your readers do.

- Chapter-by-chapter manuscript feedback
- Chemistry & tension analysis
- Pacing & plot structure review
- Emotional arc assessment
- Honest, conversational romance book feedback is never a cold report
I read dark romance with full understanding of morally grey leads and reader expectations, and romantasy with attention to how romance and world-building work together.
How it works:

FAQ
What does a romance beta reader focus on?
Chemistry, pacing, emotional beats, and whether your slow burn or fast burn actually lands the things that decide if a reader finishes your book.
Do you read dark romance and romantasy, or only clean romance?
I read all three: dark romance, romantasy, and traditional romance, each with genre-specific expectations in mind.
How many chapters can I send per order?
Basic covers 1 chapter, Standard covers 3, Premium covers 5. Need a full manuscript? Message me first for a custom offer.
What format should I receive?
Word doc (.docx) or PDF, sent as chapters. Message me if yours is in another format.
Will feedback feel human, not AI-generated?
Yes, every note is written the way I genuinely felt reading your story, not a generic checklist.
