I built and managed a complete Minecraft server ecosystem: the game server itself and its accompanying Discord community. I handled everything from server setup, plugins and performance to Discord structure, moderation, events, and player engagement. What I Did: 1. Designed and organized server structure: categories, channels, roles, permissions, and onboarding flow. 2. Set up and configured bots for moderation, auto-roles, welcome messages, music, and analytics (e.g., MEE6, Dyno, Carl bot, Ticket Tool). 3. Managed daily moderation: enforcing rules, resolving conflicts, removing spam/toxicity, and handling reports. 4. Created and hosted community events: game nights, tournaments, movie nights, giveaways, and voice chat hangouts. 5. Developed engagement strategies: daily prompts, memes, polls, LFG channels, and reward systems. 6. Onboarded and trained new moderators; created mod guidelines and escalation procedures. 7. Tracked community health metrics: member growth, retention, message activity, voice chat participation. 8. Collaborated with server owner and other staff to align community goals with brand/creator objectives. Deliverables: Server setup, channel structure, role hierarchy, bot configuration, moderation guidelines, event calendar, engagement reports.
