Newsletter & Email Marketing Specialist
Alexandra Gerritsen | Leadership Author, Speaker, Coach | San Diego, CA • Freelance
May 2026 - Jun 2026 • 1 mo
Provided newsletter strategy, email marketing, and newsletter platform setup for Alexandra Gerritsen, a leadership author, speaker, and coach. Worked on establishing a professional and branded newsletter experience designed to support audience engagement and long-term subscriber growth. Led the setup and optimization of the newsletter foundation, including subscriber signup forms, opt-in processes, welcome email, unsubscribe workflows, and key deliverability settings. Developed a branded welcome email and the first newsletter issue, ensuring the messaging, structure, and presentation were aligned with the client's brand identity and communication style. Reviewed the overall subscriber journey to identify areas that could affect user experience, engagement, and successful email delivery. Configured and tested the signup and subscription flow to ensure that new subscribers could move smoothly through the onboarding process. Performed detailed testing across desktop and mobile devices to verify that forms, emails, links, layouts, and subscriber workflows functioned correctly and provided a consistent experience across different devices. Also provided guidance on newsletter structure, email setup, and best practices to create a reliable foundation for future newsletter publishing and audience growth. The project combined newsletter strategy, email marketing setup, automation, optimization, quality assurance, and deliverability-focused configuration.

He did a great job! I really appreciate him helping me figure out a platform i don't entirely understand. I've never dived into Substack before so it was a lot of learning and explaining and I feel very well informed now.

Just want to say a big thank you. Very patient due to some issues out side our control which caused some delays but was still positive and proactive with excellent communication. The net result of the work completed was very impressive.
