About this gig
Your company is making technology decisions without a technical executive at the table. Vendor proposals are hard to challenge, AI initiatives acquire budgets, and delivery problems surface after commitments are made.
I act as your independent fractional CTO. I expose trade-offs, challenge assumptions, hold vendors and developers to clear evidence, and help you decide what to buy, build, stop, or sequence next. Depending on the package, I provide decision advice, delivery oversight, roadmap and budget leadership, and board-ready reporting.
This is an advisory and leadership retainer, not prepaid development hours. Where included, I can examine your existing systems, code, plans, contracts, invoices, and work in progress when needed to advise you.
The retainer covers one company and the package's stated access and responsibilities. Hands-on implementation, helpdesk support, 24/7 incident response, legal or compliance sign-off, and open-ended deliverables are separate or excluded.
Message me before ordering. We will confirm the decisions, people, systems, and authority involved. Each 30-day period ends with a written record of decisions, risks, and next actions.

FAQ
Do we actually need a CTO?
This service fits when technology decisions affect budget, operations, customers, risk, or delivery, but no experienced technology executive owns those decisions. If you only need one defined architecture, feasibility, or implementation deliverable, a fixed project is a better fit.
Is this advice only, or will you act as our CTO?
Basic provides decision advice. Standard adds oversight of one initiative and delivery group. Premium owns advisory cadence, technology recommendations, escalation, and executive reporting. Your company retains corporate decisions, spending authority, employment duties, and legal responsibilities.
Will you review our existing systems and code?
Yes, where included. Basic excludes code review. Standard may inspect sampled code for its initiative; Premium may examine company systems and code for executive decisions. Review supports advice and leadership. Fixing, rewriting, maintaining, and operating technology are excluded.
Can you manage our agency, freelancers, or developers?
Standard holds one delivery group accountable for one initiative. Premium directs up to two teams or vendors across two initiatives. I challenge estimates, request evidence, clarify acceptance, and escalate risk. I do not become the legal employer or sign contracts.
Will you build or fix the software yourself?
Not inside this retainer. I favour an independent implementation provider because my fractional role may be temporary, while your software team must support you long term. My team implements only when it is the right fit, I disclose that interest, and you choose it separately.
Who is not a fit?
Not buyers seeking approval for a decision already made, unlimited development, part-time helpdesk support, 24/7 operations, or a title without executive access. The sponsor must share facts, permit challenge, provide access to decision-makers and evidence, and retain final authority.
