FAQ
Q1: What do I need to provide to start my jewelry design?
A: A sketch, photo, Pinterest reference, or written description is enough to get started. The more detail you share about style, metal type, stone size, and finish, the more accurately I can match your vision from the first draft.
Q2: Are your models suitable for lost wax casting and 3D printing?
A: Yes, every model I build meets industry casting standards. Wall thickness, sprue attachment points, prong geometry, and surface smoothness are all optimized for lost wax casting and resin 3D printing on Formlabs or similar printers.
Q3: Can you set specific stone sizes and shapes into the design?
A: Absolutely. I work with round brilliants, ovals, cushions, emerald cuts, pear shapes, marquise, and custom cuts. Provide your exact stone dimensions in millimeters and I'll build the seat to match your specific stone perfectly.
Q4: Can you design a full bridal set, engagement ring and matching wedding band?
A: Yes, bridal sets are a specialty. I design both pieces to align perfectly in profile, metal thickness, and stone placement so they sit flush and complement each other. Request this as a custom order for accurate pricing.
Q5: Can you recreate or redesign a piece of jewelry I already own?
A: Yes. Send clear photos from multiple angles with measurements or a reference ring size and I'll reverse-model it in CAD, whether you want an exact replica or a modernized version with your improvements added.
Q6: How do you handle confidential or unique design concepts?
A: Your design is 100% yours. I never reuse, resell, or showcase client designs without explicit written permission. If you require an NDA before sharing your concept, I'm happy to sign one before we begin.
Q7: Do your renders look good enough to use for marketing and client approvals?
A: Yes, Standard and Premium renders are photorealistic with accurate metal textures, stone reflections, and lighting. Many of my clients use them directly for Instagram, Etsy listings, client proposals, and crowdfunding campaigns.
Q4: What if I want to resize the ring after delivery?
A: Resizing capability is included in the Premium package. I deliver a parametric or easily adjustable source file so your jeweler or caster can resize without redesigning. Standard and Basic buyers can add this as an extra.
