With this service, I'll examine character arcs, tension, and narrative structure, conducting a thorough scene-by-scene analysis of your manuscript. My goal is to elevate your story so it keeps readers hooked & eager to turn each page.

What makes you qualified to edit my book?
I've completed many developmental editing courses through the EFA & Club Ed Freelancers and am constantly taking new classes. Before my pursuit of editing, I was a professional beta reader for years, where I offered structural feedback to writers (see my Fiverr reviews).
What is developmental editing?
Developmental editing is all about the big picture. It's a thorough, scene-by-scene review of your novel to ensure it captivates readers. I will analyze every aspect, addressing plot holes, inconsistencies, head-hopping, and more. This service does not correct grammar or word choices.
How long do developmental edits take?
It can take up to 4 weeks for full-length manuscripts. This allows me to read through it at least 2 to 3 times and be thoroughly detailed. I prefer to let the story simmer in my mind instead of rushing through an edit. Your book deserves the best feedback possible!
What is NOT included with a developmental edit?
Since revisions and rewrites are usually needed after developmental edits, I will not focus on grammar or word choices. Instead, I will address the core elements of your story—structure, hooks, character development, and more—to help you attract readers or agents.
What type of romances do you read?
All kinds. I enjoy contemporary, paranormal, fantasy, gothic, and dark romances. I like heartwarming stories as well as taboo & forbidden loves. Cinnamon rolls & alpha holes and anything from clean to spicy is welcome. However, I do not work with Christian romance.
What if my story has triggering content?
That's okay! As an editor, I focus on improving the story without judgment. My goal is to make sure the content contributes to the narrative, regardless of its triggering nature.
Do you accept custom word counts?
Of course! Just send me a message and I'll create a custom offer. My current rate is $0.02 per word, which is based on industry standards.
What documents do you prefer?
I work exclusively with Word for the track changes and commenting features.
