My name is JJ Bugoma. I am a percussionist musician and producer based in Uganda. I can cover any sound or style you need, recording your percussion with professional audio equipment and expertise. I have a Bachelor's degree in Popular Music (Percussion) and Performing Arts at Makerere University. In parallel, I have been teaching and training many African Instruments for more than 15 years all over the world.
I have been part of musical groups of different genres. Currently I also work as a session drummer and the Director of Performing Arts with NGO.

Hello! I'm JJ Bugoma, a passionate and versatile percussionist with over 15 years of hands-on experience in both live performance and studio recording. Music has been my heartbeat for as long as I can remember, and I’ve been privileged to turn that passion into a full-time career — working with professional artists, touring with bands, and delivering high-quality percussion tracks across a wide range of genres.
My journey as a musician began early and was later sharpened through formal music education, earning a degree in Music with a focus on rhythm, performance, and music theory.

What do you need from me to get started?
I need your track (preferably in WAV or MP3 format), the BPM (tempo), and any notes or references regarding the feel or style you're aiming for. If you have a demo or rough mix, that helps a lot too!
Can you play in specific genres or styles?
Absolutely! I can play a wide range of styles including pop, rock, Afrobeat, reggae, funk, gospel, Latin, jazz, and more. Just let me know your preferred genre or provide a reference track.
Can I request revisions if needed?
Yes! All of my packages include at least one revision. I want you to be 100% happy with the final result, so I’m open to feedback and adjustments.
How do you deliver the final files?
I’ll deliver high-quality WAV files (stems and/or a mixed stereo file, depending on your needs). Let me know if you prefer any specific format.
Do you offer custom drum or percussion arrangements?
